Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are contracting with

The seller’s legal business name is Vet Bites, based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). When you buy revision access or a tutoring session, your contract is with Vet Bites. You can reach us at contactvetbitesteam@gmail.com.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, buying anything from us, or continuing to use the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using Vet Bites.

You confirm you are old enough to enter this agreement, or that a parent or guardian has agreed on your behalf. If you are under 18, we require parent or guardian consent before any tutoring session goes ahead.

3. What we provide

Vet Bites provides veterinary revision material (notes, quizzes, flashcards, short audio summaries and mock case papers) by species and body system, and a service that matches students with tutors for one-to-one online sessions delivered over Zoom.

Our material is study support only. It is not clinical advice and must not be relied on for the treatment of any animal, or as a substitute for your veterinary school’s teaching and assessment requirements. You are responsible for checking accuracy against your own curriculum and current clinical guidance.

4. Your account

You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use Vet Bites for anything unlawful, fraudulent or abusive, including spam;
  • copy, share, resell, redistribute or publish our notes, papers, audio or flashcards, including to classmates or revision groups;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • interfere with the security of the site — no malware, probing, scraping, reverse engineering or circumventing access limits;
  • take a tutoring arrangement off the platform to avoid our fees, or contact a tutor or student for anything other than the booked session.

6. Licence and intellectual property

We own or license all content, software and branding on Vet Bites. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the material you have paid for, for your own study, for as long as your subscription or session access lasts.

Where you upload content (for example a profile photo or DBS certificate), you keep ownership of it and grant us a limited licence to host and process it purely to run the service. If you believe content on Vet Bites infringes your rights, email contactvetbitesteam@gmail.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

7. Tutors

Tutors apply, are approved by us, pay a one-off £20 joining fee and have their profile reviewed before it goes live. Tutors must hold a valid DBS check, follow our safeguarding guidance, and must not share personal contact or bank details with students. Vet Bites retains £3 per lesson from the tutor’s rate; payouts are made by bank transfer after each session and can take up to a week to arrive.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep Vet Bites available, but we do not guarantee that the site, the content or any session will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Payments, subscriptions and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Our own refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account for material breach of these terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or a security risk, a safeguarding concern, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can close your account at any time. When access ends, you lose access to the material; contact us within 30 days if you need a copy of information you submitted.

11. Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with Vet Bites is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of profit, data, goodwill, or examination outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

12. General

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or on the site. You may not transfer your rights without our consent; we may assign ours on a merger or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside their reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
