Session Guidelines & Safeguarding

Clear expectations help every student and tutor feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Your safety matters

We take the safety and wellbeing of everyone on our platform seriously, including students under 18. All tutors are DBS checked and required to follow our code of conduct. Sessions with under-18s are subject to additional safeguarding measures. Students under 18 seeking vet school preparation must have consent from a parent or guardian before a session can be booked.

Technical issues

If your WiFi or connection drops during a session, try rejoining within a few minutes most sessions can resume without issue. If the disruption continues, contact us and we'll help reschedule.

Late arrivals & missed calls

We allow a 10-minute grace period for either party to join. If the student is more than 10 minutes late or misses the session, it is non-refundable. If the tutor is more than 10 minutes late or misses the session, the student can choose a full refund or a free rescheduled session.

Professional boundaries

Sessions must stay focused on education and take place through the agreed platform and contact channels. A parent or guardian may be present for an under-18's session. Personal contact details and inappropriate private communication must not be requested or shared.

Recording & privacy

Sessions must not be recorded, photographed or shared without the clear consent of everyone involved. Any safeguarding concern should be reported to us promptly.

Educational guidance

Tutoring supports revision, applications and interview preparation. It does not replace university teaching, professional clinical supervision or veterinary advice, and tutors cannot guarantee exam results or admission offers.
